Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1.25 lb beef sirloin
  • 3 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger
  • 4 cups broccoli
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 scallions

    Slice beef sirloin into thin bite-size pieces.

    Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add beef in batches and cook until browned, about 3 minutes per batch. Remove and set aside.

    Add minced garlic and ground ginger to the skillet, cook 30 seconds.

    Cut broccoli into florets. Add to skillet and stir-fry for 4 minutes until tender-crisp.

    Whisk soy sauce, rice vinegar, and brown sugar. Add to skillet with beef.
