Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 lb sausage
  • 0.5 head cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • salt and black pepper

    Slice the sausage into coins, slice the onion, and cut the cabbage into 1-inch ribbons.

    Heat the olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high and brown the sausage on both sides, about 5 minutes. Move to a plate.

    Melt the butter in the same pan and add the cabbage and onion with a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until wilted and browned at the edges, about 8 minutes.
