Turkey Meatball Marinara Pasta 🍝
Lean turkey meatballs in zesty marinara sauce, perfect for tossing with pasta or enjoying with zucchini noodles for flexible meal prep.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1.5 lbs ground turkey
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 onion
- 1 jar crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 lb pasta
- 1/4 cup basil
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- black pepper

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Finely dice onion and mince 2 cloves garlic. Mix with ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.

Roll into 20 meatballs. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Brown meatballs on all sides, about 10 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Add 1 minced garlic clove to pot, cook 30 seconds. Add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, stir well.

Return meatballs to pot and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes until sauce thickens.
