Teriyaki Wings 🍗
Baked-crisp wings glazed in a homemade soy, ginger, and brown sugar teriyaki that tastes straight off the hibachi.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 scallions

Heat the oven to 425°F, dry the wings well, and toss with baking powder and salt.

Bake the wings on a wire rack over a sheet pan for 40 minutes, flipping halfway, until crisp.

Grate the garlic and ginger into a saucepan with the soy sauce, brown sugar, and 1/4 cup water, and bring to a simmer.

Whisk the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon cold water, stir it in, and simmer 2 minutes until the glaze coats a spoon.
