Sirloin Steak With Mushrooms 🍄
Juicy sirloin topped with garlicky butter-glazed mushrooms, a steakhouse plate on a weeknight budget.
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 2 sirloin steaks
- 8 oz mushrooms
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper

Pat the steaks dry and season both sides with the salt and pepper. Slice the mushrooms.

Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over high heat and sear the steaks for 3 to 4 minutes per side to 130°F for medium rare.

Move the steaks to a plate to rest under foil.

Melt the butter in the same pan over medium high heat and cook the mushrooms undisturbed for 3 minutes, then toss and cook 3 more until golden.

Stir in the minced garlic and thyme leaves for 1 minute and season with salt.
