Oven Fried Chicken 🍗
All the crunch of fried chicken from your oven, with a buttery seasoned crust and no pot of hot oil.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 2 lb chicken thighs
- 1.5 cups panko
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp cayenne

Heat the oven to 425°F and set a wire rack on a sheet pan. Melt the butter and toss with the panko until evenly coated.

Mix the flour with the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and cayenne in one bowl. Beat the eggs in another.

Pat the chicken dry, dredge in the seasoned flour, dip in egg, then press firmly into the buttered panko.

Arrange on the rack and bake at 425°F until deep golden and 175°F in the thickest part, about 40 minutes.
