Beef Chow Mein 🍜
Crispy-edged noodles wok-tossed with tender beef, cabbage, and carrots in a savory soy glaze, the ultimate comfort noodle dish.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 10 oz chow mein noodles
- 1 lb beef sirloin
- 2 cups cabbage
- 1 carrot
- 4 scallions
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup beef stock

Cook chow mein noodles according to package directions. Drain well.

Slice beef sirloin against the grain into thin strips. Cut cabbage into thin shreds and julienne the carrot.

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Cook beef for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove to a plate.

Add remaining oil. Stir-fry cabbage and carrot for 3 minutes until slightly softened.

Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Return beef to skillet along with cooked noodles.

Drizzle soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and beef stock over noodles. Toss everything together for 2-3 minutes. Top with sliced scallions and serve.
