Saucy Meatball Marinara Spaghetti 🍝
Classic beef meatballs simmered in homemade marinara, tossed with spaghetti and finished with fresh basil and cheese.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 onion
- 1 jar crushed tomatoes
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 1/2 cup basil
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- black pepper

Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Finely dice onion and mince 3 cloves garlic. Mix with ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.

Roll into 20 meatballs. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Brown meatballs on all sides, 10 minutes total. Remove and set aside.

Add 1 minced garlic clove to pot, cook 30 seconds. Add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, stir well.

Return meatballs to pot and simmer, uncovered, until sauce thickens, 20 minutes.

Stir in chopped basil and season with salt and pepper.

Toss hot pasta with meatballs and sauce, divide into containers, top with parmesan.
