Ground Turkey Tacos 🌮
Lean turkey simmered in a smoky homemade taco seasoning for a lighter taco night nobody will call a compromise.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 8 tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground turkey, breaking it up, about 5 minutes.

Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, tomato paste, and 1/2 cup water.

Simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the meat, about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, shred the lettuce, dice the tomato, and warm the tortillas in a dry pan.
