  • 8 hot dogs
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

    Wrap each hot dog in a slice of bacon, spiraling from end to end, and secure with toothpicks if needed.

    Slice the onion and bell pepper. Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat and cook the vegetables until soft and browned, about 8 minutes, then set aside.

    Add the wrapped dogs to the skillet and cook over medium heat, turning every 2 minutes, until the bacon is crisp on all sides, about 10 minutes.

    Warm the buns in the skillet for the last minute.

    Remove any toothpicks, tuck the dogs into buns, pile on the peppers and onions, and zigzag with mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup.
