Huaraches with Black Beans 👟
Thick, oval-shaped masa topped with refried beans, cheese, and fresh toppings, a street food favorite made at home.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 2 cups Masa harina
- 1.5 cups Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 cans Black Beans
- 1/2 Onion
- 1 cup Oaxaca Cheese
- 1 Tomato
- 1/2 Jalapeño
- Cilantro for garnish

Mix masa harina, water, and salt until a soft dough forms. Let rest 5 minutes.

Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high.

Form masa into 4 oval patties about 1/2 inch thick. Cook on griddle for 4-5 minutes per side until lightly golden and cooked through.
